I have a question around setting up Usage billing config with trial days.
Does the app need to handle to not send usage records during the trials days or is that handled on the shopify side automatically i.e. the app can send the usage records as usual but they are just ignored during the trial days?
Messaging on the shop billing page is very confusing around this.
I.e. Initially on the app subscription under my app it says the following. This led me to think that Shopify handles it.
But then when you click on the … and click on “View Spending Limit” it lists the charges applied during this trial period. i.e.
This points to that usage records sent during trial days are added up and added to your balance.
So which is it? Do you know need to handle usage records in trial days yourself or Shopify handles it?
