Use image from repository in Product page gallery

Hi there, I want to show 2 images located in a repository on the product page. I successfully load the images from the repository as the product images. I can then select these images manually on a image metafield to show them on a gallery in the product page. The problem is that I have a large product catalogue and it is not feasible to do this process manually all the time. I’d like to be able to call the image from a link into a metafield which then gets called from a gallery on the product page. Is this possible? can you please help me? Please let me know. Thanks,
