Use main product stock - not variant stock

Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to use the main product stock and not use variant stock. I am selling necklaces and want to use the stock of the charms/pendants. I want my customers to be able to choose between different chains (being the variants). It is important that the stock only counts for the charm/pendant as a main product as that will sell out and the different chains will stay in stock so we do not need stock count for them.

Is that possible?

Hi,

Just curious to know if you don’t want to track the inventory of chains why you want to chains be an variant.

You can add chains and other stuffs as simple option to be choosen.

Are you increasing the price based on that?

You can resolve your concern with the Easify Product Options app. Instead of creating them as Shopify variants, you can create the Chain options within the app. This way, you only need to set the inventory for your main necklace product based on the stock of your Charm/Pendant, unaffected by the chain .
