So I was looking forward to this feature when registered users will pay each other and the store would take percentage of that transfer. In this scenario, the users create their own products and restrictions like:
-You put this logo (uploads a file into the “product page”) on your hoodie for 100$
-So the second user does that, sends a photo on the “product page” and asks for payment
So the 1st user pays 2nd user a 100$ and the store takes 5% of that transaction.
Can this be achived by custom code? The users would also need private chat with file upload option on top of that!!! It would need to be inside “product page”.
Can this even be done? The “product pages” would be private between users; they cannot be seen by others. So 1 user can have 16 different “product pages” with 16 different users. Each one having different media, text and payment fees.
“User to user payments” is a specific thing, like paypal users sending money to each other , making it poor way to describe a marketplace it’s tangential to the payment-gateway.
Hmm, I agree thats a very unconventional way to oparate a website, but should be possible using shopify. Thank you about the marketplace-vendor tip, I did not know about that! I do not understand your opinion tho “making it poor way to describe a marketplace it’s tangential to the payment-gateway.”
What is it suppose to mean? I don’t want a marketplace with 1000s of products, just private conversations with its media files and rules, including “User to user” payments.
