Using a theme that wasn't bought?

I’m a Shopify partner and started working with a store that claims to use the Prestige theme. The owner believes she got it for free, but it doesn’t resemble the Prestige theme. When I checked the Shopify Theme Store, it shows the Prestige theme is available for purchase at $380, suggesting it was never bought.

also, there is no version or updates available.

how is that possible?

Hi @orhl1234 ,

Upon checking your store link, I found that your store is using Prestige Theme v4.5.5, your store owner must have downloaded it from any other store after the custom modification and uploaded to her store, that is why it is still not licenced. at least it should be new blank theme.

later on, she will have to buy it or upload it with the licence, but Shopify theme store will keep saying it’s paid unless you guys don’t buy it directly.
