As shown in the figure, the same order has two channels, direct and ShareASale. Only direct has income, ShareASale is 0.
Many orders in the past few days have counted the income from other channels as direct. I used Google & YouTube app to bind my GA account, and did not perform any special operations. Why does this problem occur? Is it a problem with the app or GA?
This is likely due to Shopify’s cookie consent requirements—tracking is blocked in certain regions (like the EU) unless the customer accepts the consent banner. If the banner isn’t set up or the user declines, Google Analytics won’t capture the data, leading to incorrect attribution.
