Hey everyone ![]()
We’ve been building an internal workflow tool for fulfillment teams and recently added something I’d love feedback on from other Shopify merchants.
The idea is simple:
-
A single iPhone is mounted above the packing table (using the back camera)
-
When a packer scans an order, the phone automatically records a short packing video
-
The clip shows the item, packing slip, label, and box being sealed — one continuous shot
-
After packing, the video link is saved as a private staff note in the Shopify order timeline
From the packer’s perspective it’s basically:
scan → pack → done
No extra cameras, no manual uploads, no staging.
We originally built this for:
-
Internal QC and faster audits
-
Dispute / chargeback context (especially for high-value items)
-
Training new packers
Some teams only use it for expensive orders, others occasionally share the clip with buyers to build trust.
For context, the app is called SwiftTrack PDA on the App Store. It’s currently in free trial — happy to extend access via DM if anyone wants to test it or stress-test the workflow.
Not trying to sell anything here — genuinely curious:
-
Would this help in your fulfillment workflow?
-
Any red flags around privacy, storage, or ops friction?
-
How do you currently handle “proof of packing,” if at all?
Appreciate any thoughts or real-world experiences ![]()
