I’m facing an issue where my custom header is only appearing on the homepage of my Shopify store. It does not show up on any other pages, including collections, products, or blog pages. I want the header to be consistent across all pages.

The section where AI has put this mega-menu block is inside the “Template” area.
This area is different depending on the current page display.
In your case it’s inside homepage template, and therefore, only shows on the homepage.
You need to move this section to the “Header” area.
Shopify allows you to copy/paste sections between different areas if you right-click it.

The issue is that the mega menu block created by AI is currently placed inside the Homepage template, which is why it only appears on the homepage.
However, in the theme editor I only see it as a block, not a full section, so I’m not sure how to move it to the global Header area.

You should do it in “Edit theme” as I’ve illustrated above, not in “Edit theme code” as on your screenshot.
(technically, you can do it by editing theme code JSON files, but it’s much easier to copy/paste in configurator).
Block can’t be on its own – it always is inside a section, even if it’s just “placeholder” section like the one AI creates for its blocks).
I tried moving the section through the Theme Editor (not the code editor), but when I try to paste it into the Header area, I get the message “Section type not allowed.”
It seems the AI-created block is inside a placeholder section, and Shopify is not allowing that section type in the Header group.
I’ve attached a screenshot of the error. Could you please advise how I can properly move or recreate this in the Header so it appears on all pages?
Interesting – in my screenshot it was exactly the same type of section – created by AI to host a generated block and it successfully copy/pasted…
Make sure you’re not trying to paste it inside another section.
hmm. Try asking AI to generate you new section, this time specifically ask to put it in the Header area, then copy/paste your mega-menu block from current location to this new section in header?
If you can find this section in theme code, share it here (use the </> button so it’s not broken by forum engine) as I do not remember there are any restrictions in section groups.
Sections, though, have enabled_on and disabled_on properties.

So this is usually a theme section setting thing. Go into your theme editor and check if your header is added as a section only to the homepage template vs being in the actual theme structure itself. You might need to add it to your theme.liquid file or make sure it’s not restricted to just the index template. What theme are you using?

I already tried checking and adjusting it through the Theme Editor, but unfortunately nothing worked so far.
I’m currently using the Susan theme which I purchased from ThemeForest. The custom header appears only on the homepage and not on product, collection, or other pages.
A section created in the homepage template will be displayed only on the homepage. Please ask AI to generate that section so it can be added to other templates, then you can add ot to make it appear on your other pages.
