ValueType Deprecation For Metafields

As valueType is deprecated and is totally retired as per version 2022-01.
We get the following deprecated warning for our Shopify OAuth application:

Metafield.valueType has been removed. See Metafield.type for type information.

And looks like the deadline is Oct 1st, 2022.

  1. If we update to 2022-01 or later, we will stop receiving these deprecated warnings?
  2. And what will likely happen if someone is migrated to 2022-01 or later and if they are still using the valueType? Will it trigger the app?
