Vendor sizing

Topic summary

A seller raises concerns about inconsistent sizing information from Trendsi vendors, noting that many products don’t follow standard US sizing conventions (e.g., listing size 12 as XL or 14 as 2XL). Products often provide only measurements without clear size equivalents like S=2-4, M=6-8, making it difficult to determine whether items are misses or juniors sizing.

Trendsi’s Response:

  • Many products come from international vendors with non-US sizing standards
  • The platform is working with vendors to standardize and map sizing information
  • Sellers should check each product’s size chart carefully as sizing varies by listing
  • Support team can request detailed sizing info from vendors for specific products
  • Sellers can add general sizing guides to their own sites as a temporary solution

The issue remains ongoing as standardization efforts continue.

A lot of the vendors with TRENDSI see to have sizes that aren’t US sizing. There are many products I love but can’t put on my site because they might list a size 12 as an XL or a 14 as a 2XL. That also only list measurements instead of saying S = 2-4, M= 6-8, L= 10-12 and so on. It makes it very time consuming when we have to figure out measurements and then decide if these are misses or juniors. It’s a lot of work. Is there a way to get better sizing info like the examples shown?

Thank you for bringing this up! We understand how important accurate sizing is for both your business and your customers.

Many of the products we carry are sourced from international vendors, and use measurements instead of the standard US sizing or may differ from typical US standards. To help streamline this process:

  1. Size Chart Updates – We’re actively working with our vendors to improve and standardize the size information so that it’s easier for you to use, like mapping sizes (S=2-4, M=6-8, etc.). Each product listing may have differentiations in sizing, so we recommend to check the size chart carefully.
  2. Custom Sizing Info Requests – If a product doesn’t have clear sizing information, feel free to reach out to our support team directly, and we can request more detailed info from the vendor.
  3. Consider Offering Measurement Guides – In the meantime, you can add a general sizing guide on your site to help customers better understand the measurements and how they map to US sizes.
