Venture Theme keeps prompting me to put in apt # at Checkout

During the checkout process, it keeps prompting me to put in an apt number when I don’t have one. How do I fix this

It sounds like you’re having some trouble in the checkout process due to the required fields. I’m happy to help out! Just to clarify, are you a customer trying to place an order on a shop online, or are you a merchant testing your own checkout?

If you’re testing your own checkout, then this can be resolved within the checkout settings of your account. The setting that controls the required checkout fields won’t be within your theme, but rather in your Settings > Checkout. Once in that section of the admin, scroll down to find the “Form options”. Under the form options, “Address line 2” controls wether you require an apartment or unit number, etc. and you can also choose to make it an optional field, or remove it altogether by choosing “Hidden”:

With this said, if you’re a customer who is trying to make a purchase online, I suggest reaching out to the store owner and letting them know of the issue you’re running into. They should be able to adjust their settings to allow you to place an order without an apartment number.
