Verifiying Identity with ID and renewing an expired domain from shopify

Hello,

I have been having trouble getting my website back live because it keeps asking for me to verify my identity with my ID but when I signed up with my store originally I didn’t put my government name which is why it is not approving my identity. Is there anyway to resolve this? and I have an expired domain from shopify and need to renew it but none of the articles that are already psoted helped because mine is a special case. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Hi @sashamulan ,

The name on your Shopify Payments would need to match the government ID you’re submitting which is probably what’s caused the issue here. Some ID’s you can use once the name is correct are your passport and driving license.

In order to correct the name you will need to contact our support team to do so as once it is submitted it’s not possible for you to change. Please reach out to one of our advisors and log in here to explain the situation to them.
