  • Ideal video dimensions depend on the specific theme being used; check theme documentation for recommended sizes

Hi all,

I have 2 questions in regards to mobile video banner

  • What is the ideal size for mobile video banner? I added one that is 800 (height) x 600 (width) but it appears to be cropped at height. In the screenshot image you can see the heart is cropped, but the original video is not.
  • Video doesn’t autoplay on mobile (but on desktop is fine). Is this a loading problem or code problem?

Thank you!!!

Hi @sunday_april

The ideal size for the video really depends on what theme you are using and how the section renders the video. Usually, under the setting where you upload the video, the theme developers add an info text that specifies the recommended size.

As for the autoplay - autoplaying videos on mobile is generally not recommended, as it can result in large data usage. Additionally, based on your screenshots, I noticed that your phone is in Power Saving mode, which disables autoplay. This means that even if the video is set to autoplay on mobile, it won’t work while Power Saving mode is enabled.

I hope this helps!
