Video Text Section on Sense Theme - Customisation?

Hiya,

I’ve just added the Video with Text function to my Sense Version 15.0.1, using the following article as a guide - https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/how-can-i-incorporate-a-video-into-image-with-text-on-sense/m-p/1892910#M668057

The function works but with a few issues I was hoping to get help with.

1 - On mobile view the video goes tiny and all the copy gets thrown out of line.

2- How can I customise the text & CTA in general to match the rest of my theme? E.g. the spacing is all off with the text and the CTA is showing as a hyperlink rather than a button.

3- There is a function to set the video to Autoplay, but can I have the play button removed altogether so from the get go the video autoplays without having to be played in the first place.

Hi Ruby,

Some ideas to help unblock you on the points you flagged:

  1. To accomodiate smaller screens you could use media queries to set up different sizing rules when the viewer screen is reduced.

  2. To customise the text/ CTAs you could apply specific HTML tags to these elements and then add CSS to match your existing styles.

  3. To hide the play button, you would remove controls from this 


When `controls` is present, it specifies that video controls should be displayed - so removing it from the `<video>` element should remove the play button.
