We sometimes sent follow up emails to cusotmers regarding their orders.
We are unable to print the follow-up email in PDF sent from Shopify because it only appears in a small preview window, and doesn’t have “View Email” button next to it.
We can print “Order Confirmation” or “Shipping Confirmation” emails by clicking the “View Email” button.
Wondering if Shopify team could implement the same “View Email” capability for the follow-up emails?
By using bcc, it is not an option for us. In the scenario when a dispute was raised by customer, we will need to present the original email with the correct date and time stamp to the customer and relevant party as an evidence. By sending a new email with BCC, it will have the incorrect date and time stamp and will also send a copy to customer – it is not preferred.
We still prefer to the follow up email can be shown in the same way which an “Order Confirmation” or “Shipping Confirmation” email can be viewed and printed.
From now on, when you sent an followup email, you can enable bcc. That will have same timestamp and date to the mail directly sent to the customer. Do u mean something else.
But your concern is valid. I always keep my email communications with Shopify app reviewers for futures in the right way.
It is doable but not ideal. I am still keen for the shopify develop to align the email interactions and implement the “View email” button. Since the data is already in Shopify and I am sure it can be implemented.
By doing bcc, it just create additonal tasks for our team and won’t be good if someone forgot to bcc. Also create unnecessary amount of emails to our inbox. It is not a good customer expereinece.
