Hi @HoodLove ,

Below are some suggestions to enhance website performance

1. Improving search bar

You should improve it by making larger product images, showing price and discount information, including brand search, collection search, etc functionality to enhance search bar. This will help customers find their needs quickly, enhancing their shopping experience. Below is a reference

2. Featured product

  • You should make pricing and discount labels more noticeable to encourage customers to buy products.
  • Adding an add to wishlist or quick view button is another way to catch the attention of customers.
  • Below is a reference

3. Lack of a Review Section

Adding a dedicated review section would allow customers to share their experiences, providing valuable feedback for other potential buyers. Customer reviews not only build trust but also serve as social proof, which can significantly boost conversions. Here is a reference:

4. Adding favicon logo

A favicon is a tiny logo that usually shows up in a browser tab. It is particularly crucial for new websites as it enhances user experience by helping visitors quickly recognize your site when they have several tabs open in their browser:

5. Provide detailed information

The lack of product information might be an issue for the conversion as it will cause the hesitation to purchase. You should add more product information such as size guide, care instructions, etc.. See the references below:

I hope my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.

Good luck!

Hi @HoodLove ,

I just had a look through your store, and wow, you’re off to a great start! Running an eCommerce business is a marathon, not a sprint, and I can tell you’re on the right path. I’ve got some ideas that might help take things to the next level, especially when it comes to design, your products, and some budget-friendly marketing strategies.

1. Design Thoughts:
Your site looks awesome, but a few tweaks could really polish it up:

  • Mobile first: Since most people are shopping on their phones, your site looks good there, but tightening up a few things—like making the buttons easier to tap—could really make a difference. Try using bolder CTAs (like “Shop Now”) so visitors know exactly what to do next.
  • Organizing the page: Your text and images are great, but think about adding a bit more structure. Maybe use bigger headings to guide the visitor’s eyes or highlight key messages. This makes it easier for people to digest what’s important.
  • Build trust: Reviews are huge when it comes to online shopping. If you haven’t already, start gathering customer feedback and add it to your product pages. A few real voices go a long way in convincing people to hit “buy.”

2. Product Vibes:
You’ve got some cool products, but let’s make sure they really shine:

  • Descriptions that pop: Try breaking your product descriptions into bullet points so people can easily scan the key details. Things like material, size, and care instructions should be super clear. If possible, get some user-generated content in there too—people love seeing how others style the gear!
  • Show off your uniqueness: If HoodLove has some standout features—like eco-friendly materials or limited-edition designs—highlight that loud and proud! It’s what makes your brand different, and shoppers want to know why they should pick you over someone else.

3. Basic Marketing Moves:
Marketing can get expensive, but there are plenty of ways to spread the word without breaking the bank. Here are a few that could help:

  • Social media magic: Focus on platforms like Instagram and TikTok where streetwear thrives. Posting regularly, using hashtags, and encouraging followers to share their photos with your products can build a lot of buzz. The goal is to create a community around your brand—people love being part of something cool!
  • Influencers on a budget: You don’t need big names to make an impact. Reach out to micro-influencers who resonate with your target audience. They often collaborate for free products, and their followers are usually more engaged. It’s a great way to get the word out without spending tons of cash.
  • Emails that work: If you haven’t already, set up an email list. A few well-timed emails (like a welcome series or abandoned cart reminders) can work wonders to bring people back. Plus, it’s practically free!
  • Boost your SEO: Optimizing your site for search engines is a long-term game, but it’s super important. Make sure your product titles, descriptions, and image alt texts are all SEO-friendly. If you’re up for it, start a simple blog to talk about streetwear trends or tips—Google will love you for it, and it can drive more organic traffic.
  • Create a referral system: Happy customers can be your best marketers! Set up a referral program where people can get a small discount for referring a friend, and boom—you’ve got new customers at minimal cost.

4. Keep the Long Game in Mind:
Building a brand takes time, but with consistent effort, you’ll see results. Keep refining your approach, whether that’s improving product pages, trying new content formats, or tweaking your email campaigns. Every little adjustment adds up over time.

In a nutshell, you’re doing great, and I see big potential for HoodLove. With a few small adjustments and some low-cost marketing strategies, you’ll be well on your way to creating a brand that stands out and thrives. Keep pushing forward, and remember—it’s all about the journey!

I don’t know if what I say will be helpful but I have a couple thoughts:

  1. You don’t have a favicon. You should add one of those. Such a simple branding touch and it is noticed.

  2. Your images are a little grainy. Not sure if that is the vibe you are going for but it seems less intentional, rather than just low quality images.

  3. I would add a blog. I feel like stores like this should have a blog to talk about the fashion your selling. There is such a history with streetwear especially in the vintage sphere I think you could have endless topics to cover and with AI you could have a it help you write something but then fix it up yourself (it is noticeable when something is entirely AI written) or write something and have AI touch it up for you.

  4. I think you could add more to your product pages. More description, history of the item or the brand, year the item came out, how many were made if it was a limited release, maybe some more images. I know there are also icons you can add to pages that talk about shipping and the like that can help build trust with your customers - not those obviously fake trust badges but the ones that actually reflect your business (ex. free shipping over x amount, world wide shipping, easy returns, etc.)

Overall I think you did really well especially compared to a lot of new stores, but I feel like a few tweaks could really bring it to the next level and I think they are all things you could accomplish on your own!

Hello @HoodLove I would love to review your store, but it’s not currently showing me the option to input the code you provided in the comments section.

Hi @HoodLove ,

This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Free Landing Page Builder.

I have just had a look at your store. Your store is well-organized but I would love to provide my recommendations for your store so that it may gain more sales. May it help!

1. Adjust your store’s favicon

Having a favicon for your store will make it unique and help customers easily recognize it. Please consider using an image/ icon for it, same as Shopify below:

2. Improve your hero banner

The banner is very significant in hero material. It is the first thing customers see when they visit your website. Let’s get consumers to know exactly what you’re having in 5 seconds first. Your current image is quite blurry and does not attract customers and the CTA button is hidden:

3. Improve Product media (image/gif/video)

By providing multiple product images, including those that show the item in a realistic setting, you can help customers make more informed purchasing decisions. Seeing your product in context allows them to better visualize its size and how it will fit into their lives.

You can consider adding videos or GIFs that can bring your product to life and make it more appealing, ultimately driving sales.

4. Improve your Filter

I’m finding that your filter is a bit limiting. Right now, I can only choose one feature to filter by price. It would be really helpful if I could select multiple features at once or have more choices about coat/pant type, materials, brand, origin,…

This would allow me to narrow down merchants’ searches more effectively and make their shopping experience more enjoyable.

5. Add more content on your homepage

  • A brand story helps customers understand more about your business and also helps your store look more professional.
  • Moreover, users’ perceptions of the site or brand can be positively influenced by the returns policy, and any warranty or guarantee information, which can reassure them that the site is trustworthy. Your information is quite hard to see on Product page now, make it clearer.

Besides building attractive and powerful pages, you should spend time focusing on marketing strategies too. Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck and have a nice day! Cheers!

Hey,

Hope you doing good, thank you for your tips & time. I will update that!
