I’ve been running Facebook and Instagram ads to promote my store since the last week of August, continuing through to November 2nd. So far, I’ve had only 2 valid orders, despite 150-250 daily visits to my online store, and I’ve invested over 20,000 INR in these promotions. I was hoping to see at least 20-30 orders by now, so it’s been quite frustrating, and I’m starting to lose hope. My store link is https://mahotsavfashion.info/
Could you please suggest what steps I should take next?
First, welcome to the community. It takes a lot of work to start an online store. You invest in ads and expect an instant return.
But that only goes that way in the most cases. You need to have a great great-looking store that is fully set up and uses the best practices
to hold visitor’s attention and turn them into customers. Your store is not completely ready, while you did a lot of work.
The first thing to notice is your domain name. While I know it is so hard to find a domain name you want that sounds good and catchy
plus good for SEO, but it is recommended to use a .com domain. When I see the .info and store on that domain it raises a red flag for me.
Second, choice of theme, while free themes are fine for the start I am always for investing in a paid theme. They are worth it and with
features and options, speed, and orientation on conversion they should pay themselves fast.
But as you do use a free, default one let me point out a few things you could change
The announcement bar should have links, if you have words like sale in the text you should link to a collection and make visitors follow a path to checkout.
The menu should be shorter and it should never be in two rows. You can remove Home (most of users know to click a log to go home) and All products ( you already have Catalog already)
Homepage first banner: while it has a good background there is too much text on the image itself. You could move COD, Express Shipping, and returns to a new logo section. And introduction and Grand sale text should be text over an image. And Shop all button is barely noticeable.
You have 3 sections with buttons that do not do anything
Collection page: you should have more filters and to be more visible.
Your images are different dimensions so this looks a bit messy.
Not sure about you, but for me, those images of a woman holding a phone are not professional at all, sorry
after the product grid you have a section with Explore button that does not do anything
Product page: the main big image looks blurry and if you click and zoom it is even worse.
You have a Size chart link before the Add to cart button that does not work, then in some products you have a size chart dropdown that is empty, then have a third in the description sometimes ( with buttons that do not work) and then you have product images with size guide. It is too much, try to have it in one place and organized better.
You could use a few more sections on the product page for info or customer reassurance plus the option of a review
I hope you start getting sales, you have interesting products, and people will buy them. But you need to have the patience and constantly work and improve your store, where you can. Instead of investing in ads only, I would rather buy a theme, for example, Ella theme on Theme Forest is a popular option. Good luck.
