I was browsing through some stores at work and noticed a store built with Shopify had some nice drop down “Product Filters”? Not sure what you would call them…Any idea where I would begin to edit our pages to include some of these filters? Seems like a good way to creating filters for clients. We are using the warehouse theme.
Hey, @ModernAV !
If I’m not mistaken, I believe we are looking at product options or variants in the screenshot you shared. It seems different from the Warehouse theme features, as the variant selector type defaults to blocks instead of dropdown menus. If you would like this kind of look, you can follow the steps below to change the variant selector type from block to dropdown.
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Click Customize beside Warehouse to open the theme editor.
- Click the dropdown menu at the top of the theme editor, and select Products > Default product.
- On the left sidebar, click Variant selector underneath Product.
- On the right sidebar, click the dropdown menu underneath Selector type and select Dropdown.
- Click Save.
If you need further assistance with the Warehouse theme, feel free to contact their support team with the following steps:
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Click Customize beside Warehouse to open the theme editor.
- Click the ellipsis or the three dots at the top of the page.
- Click Get support.
Since you’re redesigning a section on your product page, it may be a good step to evaluate the entire page and see if its details are pushing customers to place orders. Simply setting up the basic elements of your product page can bring sales, however, they don’t always boost conversion. There are add-ons you can place that can positively influence customers’ behavior and entice them to purchase. If you need ideas on that, this blog post will tell you how you can design your product page to get more sales.
