Hello,

Where do i change the width?

‘‘Add engaging pet-centric blog posts or tips.’’

I have one blog so far.

‘‘Launch targeted social media + retargeting ads.’’

Im using google ads rn. Mostly for testing.

‘‘Add trust elements: badges, policies, About page.’’

I have 2 and 3. Do you think badges really help that much?

‘‘Optimize product pages with images, descriptions, and reviews.’’

More than i have now? I have reviews, but no results yet.

Thank you ill try that.

And i did a soft launch last week haha. Mostly so google can crawl it and i can do some practice with ads.

How do you like the look of the site?

Hey there,

Your store has a really fun and playful vibe, love the branding. It’s definitely a competitive market, but there’s room for unique brands like yours to stand out with the right tools and experience.

If you’re looking to increase sales, I’d recommend trying something interactive like a spin-to-win popup for email capture and instant discounts. It’s a great way to keep visitors engaged and convert them before they bounce. You could check out Wheelify by CareCart. It lets you add a spin wheel popup to your store with discount codes and helps build your email list at the same time.

For your design question about making images less wide, that’s usually a theme setting. If you’re using Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 themes, go into the theme editor, click the section where the image is placed, and look for width or spacing controls. You might need to adjust the layout width or padding manually depending on the theme.

Hope this helps and good luck with Olly’s Beestenboel!

Mhmm you are right. I changed the colour. Thanks. Not sure about the font yet.

Its sometimes is hard to see since i created it haha. In too deep. And not too shabby since i did this in a few weeks haha.

Thanks! That was the idea. The text is also playful.

‘‘I’d recommend trying something interactive like a spin-to-win popup for email capture and instant discounts’’

I thought about that, just afraid it looks too scammy/forceful haha.

I already set it low. But higher actually makes it look a tad better.

Its mostly the image that makes it worse.

Haha fair point. Nobody wants their store to feel like one of those old-school popups from the early internet days.

But if done right, it can feel more like a fun little surprise than a gimmick. Wheelify, for example, lets you customize the look so it actually fits your branding in a playful way, not pushy. Think of it as a party game, not a pop-up ambush.

Do you have a site where i can see it?

You can try and see for yourself: Wheelify Spin Wheel Email Pop Up

It has both Free and Paid versions.

  1. better quality images (lighting, angles)

  2. show off your reviews (why customers love you)

  3. do more marketing and ads

Hi @Ferryarthur

Here is some feedback you can use as a reference to better improve your store content, after carefully checking:

  1. Pay attention to the page speed difference between mobile and desktop. When I manage to test your page speed performance, the speed on mobile is lower than the result on desktop. This is due to the numerous elements used on your store, and you may consider reducing some unnecessary code or content, especially when displaying web pages on mobile devices. The factor blocking your page speed the most is the TBT (Total Blocking Time). You can learn more about this factor by checking this guideline, and the method to optimise this part is also inside this article; rest assured.

  1. The H1 tag on the homepage should be added as real text content with practical meaning, rather than an image or a logo. When I check your page under inspection mode, your H1 on the homepage is added to a logo, and it is not so good for SEO and for Google to index your page content. Do your best to add an H1 tag on the main title of the homepage and change this logo from an H1 tag to an H2 tag; this will be better.

  1. Consider adding some badges under Buy button on your product page to describe the material or advantage you have or use on the product, this will be quite outstanding and more attractive for your potential users when they access your product pages, to let them stay longer and contribute to your final purchase as a result.

Oh thanks. I’m going to check this out once i have time. I want to scrap the ‘‘meer betalingsopties’’, but it also removed the add to cart..

What would be the way to change the logo to h2 and title as h1? Without looking bad

Hello @Ferryarthur , Congratulations on starting your store. I looked at your store and analyzed it as well by using Google Page Insights Report. Below representing the results driven from the report for mobile

Overall Performance score - 82

FCP - 1.2 s

LCP - 4.7 s

Total Blocking Time (TBT) - 110 ms

CLS(Cumulative Layout Shift) - 0.001

Speed Index - 3.0 s

Your overall performance score and other core web vitals are good but the issue lies in your LCP as it is going beyond the standard value and after analyzing thoroughly Images are making delay in loading that makes LCP poor. Here below are the ways to fix this.

Optimize Images

Unoptimized images cause loading delays. You can try resizing images as large images can significantly slow down your page’s load time. Make sure to resize the images as per the dimensions.

For example -

Your Image

Additionally, convert the images into WebP format as webP images provide better compression without sacrificing quality, which helps reduce page load times. You can easily convert your images to WebP and serve them using Shopify’s built-in filters.

For example

Your WebP Image

Third-Party Scripts Optimization

Third-party scripts like ads, social media buttons, and tracking scripts can delay the LCP. Ensure these scripts are loaded asynchronously or deferred until after the critical content has loaded.

For example

You also need to make changes in regards to SEO to improve traffic and conversions. Here are the key points to remember -

Clear Calls to Action (CTAs): Always ensure your “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now” buttons are prominent and easy to find. You can also experiment with urgency-driven CTAs like “Only a few left in stock!” to create a sense of urgency.

Social Proof: Adding customer reviews or testimonials can be powerful in building trust. This is especially important in a competitive market where people are more likely to trust the experiences of other buyers.

Email Marketing: Consider setting up an email list for visitors who don’t purchase right away. Offering a discount for first-time purchases or sending follow-up emails about your latest products could help increase conversions.

Alternatively, if you want to perform optimization tasks automatically , Try Website speedy- a shopify app that handles image optimization, fixing LCP and other speed issues at ease. It comes with a 14 days free trial so try once.

Hi @Ferryarthur

This can be changed by accessing the “header.liquid” file from the Shopify admin page and searching for

. Then, you will be able to see a line of code that looks like this:

After changing it to

, the logo will be displayed properly as an h2.

Your store looks amazing, you’ve done a great job

One of the best ways to take it to the next level is by increasing your average order value (AOV) and improving your conversion rate. I’d suggest adding color swatches and setting up volume discounts to encourage customers to buy more.

I use Rapi Bundle for both and it’s super easy to set up. Here’s a quick demo I did for you

Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any questions
