We have an unfinished client site that has gone dormant, but we might need to edit in the future?

Greetings Shopify community. We make websites for different clients and about a year ago we paused the development on one of our Shopify sites. We haven’t been making edits nor is the site open to the public. For that reason the payment method expired so we haven’t been paying. Which we thought would be ok since the site isn’t being used at all or edited. We just got an email saying that the shop will be frozen if payment isn’t made by the next billing cycle. Will this delete the site, or is it safe to let the site be frozen so that we don’t have to pay, but then unfreeze the site if we do in fact end up needing to resume editing for this client? Or is there another course of action to allow the site to sit dormant and not have to pay, but still be able to reactivate later? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
