Website and sales help

Hi everyone! I’m very new to building and running a Shopify website and I’m still learning as I go.https://cheeky-craft-co-2.myshopify.com/ I would really appreciate it if anyone would be willing to take a look at my site and give me honest feedback or pointers on what I could improve. Whether it’s the layout, product descriptions, photos, pricing, or anything else that might help attract more customers and make the site easier to use. I’m working hard to grow my small business and any advice or suggestions would mean a lot to me. Thank you so much in advance!

Hello,

I’ll share with you details about each page and how you can improve them.

HomePage: Your current page has Header(without logo), Banner(without image), 2 Products(broke layout), Footer(without proper information).

Homepage is the 1st impression for your new users on the website and it should be perfect. Looking at the homepage only makes a customer stay or leave from your website.

Header should be made proper first. Create a proper logo use some free AI tools like Namelix or Looka or Brandmark. You can also use Canva for the same.

Create a main banner(Hero Banner) for the very first section reflecting your product, add some models, showcase details or offers with one single Headline and description. Add a Shop Now button. Best way to create is by using Canva easy and efficient.

Products: The image layout should be fixed and since you only have 2 products, you can showcase one after another.

Footer: Your footer should properly show all the policy pages like Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Return Policy. Use ChatGPT to create the content and rephrase it on your own. Logo should be there as well.

On your homepage, these are very few sections that you have, you should add more sections like add more banners, create a section with showing product image and details or MSP of the product. Instead of just going complete white background, use a color combination that makes the website more elegant.

Product Page is not good at all. The description is too big. You should create multiple sections on product page highlighting different features of the product. Product Images can be more optimized. Again use some image AI tool, it will optimize your image.

You can try these things first and see the difference in your website. I hope upgrading these things will help you out.

Thanks

Research what successful websites do and look like. Some common customizations and improvements beyond simply installing a theme and adding products:

  2. Logo instead of words
  3. Welcome banner
  4. Featured Product on homepage
  5. About Us page with bio and photo gallery
  6. Contact Us page that has actual contact information
  7. Customize product page
  8. Website meta name and description
  9. Favicon

Hi @Cheekycraftco

Welcome to the community.

First, I think your store is too early for any feedback. You have added two products, images, and descriptions. it is a good start, but you need a lot more.

But as you build and learning, and that is OK. First advice, and I think that not many listen, spend some good time researching Store feedback subforum , that is where your topic should be. Check how other merchants are doing, what advice they got, and whether they are still open or the store is closed. Also search

To see merchants that strugle for months without sales. You have to learn from other mistakes, but also from other successful stores like

Now it is good that you have handmade products and not some drop shipping items like 95% of stores. IT is an advantage and something you should use and emphasise. But still, even those products need marketing and social presence.

Like Maximus pointed out in the first place, you need a domain and a proper email.
You can do that later when your store gets a bit more work, but do not expect any sales while on the myshopify subdomain. So if you can add the domain and email first.

Good luck and keep asking questions.

Hi, i think, you got the solution.. I am totally agree with both suggestions for your store.. you just follow the simple UI and UX guidelines and test your website yourself and user.

Small things but big impact on your business.. keep eye on shopify update.. because recently shopify announced and AI tools for website testing ui and ux point of view

  1. Fix typos (handhmade → handmade);
0.78/oz doesn’t make any sense for this product.
  2. In the home page hero section, use images related to what you are selling, not some generic image.

  1. clean the background of product pages (ex - handmade pot gnome shown above). It is distractive.
  2. some generic recommendations: better about us page (with your face and story in it), logo, etc.
