I run a website that we do regular coding on to ensure it’s current and working correct, we use a modified Empire theme, we have not made any changes to the code of the website since at least last Thursday, everything has functioned fine this past weekend, then this morning we started receiving complaints that the website was down.
Upon looking the CSS appears to have failed, all images are non-sized, display functions are not applying and I can’t figure out the problem, I have switched to an old backup which is a temporary fix but I need this theme fixing, I have hosted It on one of my other domains, summitseal.co.uk.
The main address is premiumpaints.co.uk which is currently hosting the old backup for reference, does anybody have any idea what the issue is?
This sounds like the known issue that our developers are aware of, where some merchants may have experienced display issues with their storefront. During the time that this issue occurred, storefront design elements like text, colours, and layout on impacted stores may have loaded slowly, incorrectly, or not at all.
This issue has since been resolved however, so all affected storefront displays should appear and function as normal. If you’re still experiencing the display issues on your end however, are you able to firstly access your storefront via an incognito mode on your browser? This will rule out any local browser or caching issues.
This display issue was also posted on our Shopify Status page here, when it was still ongoing. As a resolution has been pushed by our developers, it no longer appears within our status page as an issue. Though it’s a good idea to keep our status page handy for future references, just so that you can double check if an issue that you or your customer is experiencing is a Shopify-wide one rather than a localised one.
I had the exact same issue. I asked for a call back and you guys said it was not a Shopify problem and it was our fault. You might want to let your staff know about it next time. Useless.
Instead of incognito just press Ctrl F5 to refresh the cache.
