Hi there, I am needing help here. So I just connected my domain (from Go Daddy), updated my DNS setting at Go daddy and everything seems fine with no warnings from Shopify.
I waited until the next day as I heard it takes time for the new domain to be live on the internet. Yes, it went live earlier when I checked. and after an hour, I typed in my domain, suddenly it wasn’t found on the internet.
I checked my Shopify > Domain settings but couldn’t see any warnings- if let say something actually happened which causes my domain site to be taken aback.
Can someone help me with answering this? Do I have to wait more? It still hasn’t passed 48 hours since I last started to change my domain. What should I do?
This is the view of my Settings > Domain. As you can see, there are not a single warnings. Does this means everything is actually fine and I’ll just have to wait? Help me!
Hi, @sharifahohara .
Welcome to the Shopify Community and thanks for sharing your question here.
Earlier today, Shopify experienced some technical issues that affected admins, checkouts and storefronts. This may likely be the reason why you were not able to access your website earlier. Our developers have since resolved the issue and we have updated our Shopify Status page to reflect the information that all systems are operational.
When navigating to your store bebyhada.co.nz, I was able to access your storefront with no error messages or issues. Please see screenshot below for better visibility.
I’ve checked your DNS records for your domain and all information points to Shopify.
Lastly, I’d like to share that you’re able to remove the powered-by-Shopify text from your storefront’s footer. You can follow the steps in our help center guide to create a more clean and more professional footer section.
I hope this helps!
