Hello everybody,

I’d like to start a dropshipping e-commerce in italy, but I am a bit scared about legal aspects. In particular I would like to know:

1 ) how to define terms and conditions

  1. how to define the privacy policy

  2. how to define a dropshipping agreements

I’d also like to know wheter shopify provide support to the above activity or not. Can anybody give me some hints on the mentioned subjects ?

thanks in advance

finsi

Hi Agnes4,

thank you for your quick answer.

  1. What do you mean by “Shopify has all this covered for you” ?
  2. As far as I know in Italy it is absolutely mandatory to have “terms and condition” and “privacy policy” in the footer of the website home page
  3. Sorry what does it mean “to PM me” ?

thanks in advance for your answer

Ok. Moreover, in my opinion, a dedicated agreement is necessary to start a dropshipping activity. However on sites like AliExpress and Modalyst I did not find any predefined agreement / template. Where should I look for it ?

Sorry by “predefined agreement/template” I am not referring to the policies mentioned above (privacy etc.) but rather to a specific agreement between the dropshipping seller and the supplier. I think this, either predefined or made on purpose, is necessary to make available procedures to work out the orders.

However it seems none of the organizations providing dropshipping (as I said e.g. AliExpress, Modalyst) seem to worry about it

Hi Agnes 41,

no, I did not start yet using shopify. I am analysing the situation in order to set up my store. But I have first to open the “partita IVA” (to pay VAT taxes). Thanks for you question and regards

Hi! In Italy, dropshipping is fully legal, but you need to cover a few key points:

Terms & Conditions / Privacy Policy – You can use Shopify’s templates as a starting point and customize them to your store. Make sure they comply with GDPR.
Dropshipping agreements – Have a written contract with your suppliers outlining responsibilities, returns, shipping times, and liability.
Shopify support – Shopify provides guides and templates, but they don’t offer legal advice. For full compliance, it’s best to consult a local lawyer familiar with e-commerce and GDPR.

And, to help you grow and build a successful business, you can automayte and optimize every step of your dropshipping process with tools like AutoDS.
