At this time, we do not have publicly available statistics to provide merchants or developers. With that being said, our Theme Store does work based on algorithms that correctly identify the most popular themes for given industries.
Therefore, while I don’t have values to share with you, that’s a very good reference point for understanding merchant behaviour for themes purchased through the Shopify Theme Store.
I also did a quick search online, and I found that there are various third-party data-gathering sites that publish popular theme and functionality information for any theme through any platform. While I can’t speak to the relevance of that third-party data, that looks like it could be a good solution for what you are after.
