What are the open source AI tools you are using?

Hi everyone

We’re exploring if we should integrate open-source AI into our stacks or buy SaaS off the shelf. Key goal is to sync internal knowledge search, and have AI agents to auto part of the work such customer support and product recommendations.

Have you used any open-source AI tools in your store? What’s worked well? What’s been challenging?

We’re especially curious about:

  • Self-hosted AI tools or agents

  • AI search or Q&A on internal docs

  • Automation for content, support, or operations

We’ve been trying out an open source tool called Enthusiast. It’s kind of like your own internal ChatGPT but connected to your product catalog and internal docs. It’s open source, so it’s free. We are hosting on our own server using Deepseek, so data is secure. It also comes with pre-built integration with shopify and customer support agents, so easy to get started.
