Hi guys, I’m new to shopify and I haven’t anything like this before. I’m having trouble setting up the shop app. It says I do not meet the requirements but I couldn’t find what the problem is. It is currently deactivated and I can’t get it running until I have met the requirements.

The first thing to do would be to clear your cache and cookies and ensure you are using Google Chrome. Then log out of Shopify and log back in and try to install it again.
And not every app is built to work on every store. Some apps are designed to work with specific store settings. To prevent you from installing apps that don’t work on your store, app developers can set installation requirements for their apps.
You can take a look at 5 types of installation requirements that an app can have:

Point of sale: The app works with stores that have the Shopify Point of Sale channel.

Shipping countries: The app works with stores that ship to at least one of the specified countries. The countries you ship to are set by your shipping zones.

Currency: The app works with stores that sell in at least one of the currencies that the app supports.

Business address: The app works with stores with a primary business address in a country that the app supports.

Online Store: The app works with stores that have the Online Store channel.
Some apps that work with the Online Store channel might only be compatible with vintage themes. If you use an Online Store 2.0 theme, then you should read the app listing and documentation to understand whether the app is compatible with your theme. You mentioned that you’ve tried setting up Shop App and are receiving an error message that you’ve not met the requirements. In order to have Shopping enabled, you’ll need to follow the Shop Merchant Guidelines and ensure your products do not fall under the Prohibited product types. If you’re unsure which Shop Merchant Guideline or prohibited product type is preventing Shopping from being enabled, you can contact Shop Support directly.
In the meantime, your customers can still take advantage of viewing order tracking, recent orders and seeing the available contact information for your store on the Shop app.
I’d also love to know what kind of business you have and what type of products do you sell? I’ll share our Shopify Store Checklist as you mentioned you’re new to the platform. Our checklist is a great resource that can help you complete the setup of each area of your store like: shipping, payments, theme, products, collections etc.
Hi Victoria I have managed to get answers to most of my questions online as 2 attempts to get chat engaged has been unsuccessful, thou later in the day I get an email confirming my help request.
Question As noted by @inventivescs. I have an error on Shop App dashboard. The error is not clear but bottom line I have a Starter plan that I have at about 75 to 85% setup and get the Shop APP error. The Store appears online just fine so why do I get that my Store is Inactive. Do I need Shop APP on Setup.
