What can cause domain errors on my ecommerce website?

Hi folks, small bit of bother with my domain, went to go on the site earlier and seen it wasn’t showing up, logged into admin and had a notification. any help would be very appreciated. I have logged a call with an advisor but still haven’t heard anything back. It is now pointing to a Shopify store with numbers before it. Sorry if this has been posted before.

It seems that your domain is not connected properly.

Could try following the steps in the below help article by Shopify on how to connect your domain and see if the problem still persists.

If you ever want to check for potential issues with the pointing of a domain, make sure to check out this website here. WHOIS is a public database that houses the information collected when someone registers a domain name or updates their DNS settings.

After checking your domain we can see the following:

  • The subdomain points to Shopify. A CNAME record is valid.
  • The domain has an A record pointing to 23.227.38.74.
  • The domain has a CNAME record pointing to shops.myshopify.com.
  • The domain is using valid Shopify Google nameservers.

Everything is up and running as it should be! Are you still facing trouble on your end?
