Is there any reason why there is a thin white outline on this? And if so, can I fix it?

I checked your website, the white border is caused by your image, it’s not caused by any css property

I am having a similar problem and your help would be greatly appreciated.
On both the Home and About pages, the smile icon, in screenshot below, is showing a faint, off-centre white border. I have checked my image and that doesn’t seem to be the problem. I’ve also made sure the image frame is a perfect square and that hasn’t helped either.
