What is meant by Trade Number? Is it barcode Numbers as Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs)?
Hey @Bran1 ,
Great question!
If you are specifically asking about Trade Numbers in the context of barcode numbers, then yes, it refers to Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs). GTIN is a unique and internationally recognized identifier for a product. The GTIN is the number printed below the barcode symbol.
For further guidance, take a look at our help doc below:
Are you currently setting up the Google channel for your website? A GTIN will help make your ad or unpaid listing easier for your customers to find. Products submitted without any unique product identifiers are difficult to classify and may not be eligible for all Google Shopping programs or features.
So what should i type in (Trade Number), if i am dropshipping?
Hey @Amir4132 ,
Before you try to obtain a GTIN for a product, check if it already has one. Some products on AliExpress already have a GTIN, so you won’t need to obtain one. You can use a GTIN lookup tool like the Global Trade Item Number Database (GTINdb) to check if the product has a GTIN.
If the product doesn’t have a GTIN, you will need to contact the supplier to obtain one. Ask the supplier to provide you with a valid GTIN for the product. They may already have one, or they may need to obtain one for you.
