According to my research, there are four types of apps required for an online store.

  1. Abandoned cart, email marketing apps.
  2. Product reviews app.
  3. Sale channels.
  4. Cross-sell & Upsell.

Can you recommend any other apps that are required?

Depending on scale of business I would also add these two categories:
Shipping Lable Printing Apps - e.g. GoShippo, ShipStation
Cloud Accounting software - e.g. Freshbooks
Multi Channel Operations Management - e.g. StitchLabs
