Also, if I send something tracked do I put the tracking code somewhere for them? Any help’s appreciated as I have no clue.

Hi, @harrismcleod21 .
This would completely depend on your store’s business model, and how you’re fulfilling your products. For example, are you a Dropshipper? Or do you perhaps create your products with the help of a Print on Demand supplier? If you use a Dropshipping or Print on Demand app on your store to configure your products, the order fulfilment process would look different to a store that fulfils their own products.
For stores that utilizes an app for its fulfilment process, depending on the app you may be required to request a fulfilment when an order has come through on your store. From there, this request is sent to your fulfilment service, so that they can begin to prepare and ship the order from their end. The fulfilment status of your order will be updated accordingly on your order timeline to help you keep up to date on how the order is tracking along. You can have a read of this document, for more information on fulfilling an order with an app.
If you don’t use an app and instead stock and ship your own products, your workflow will look different to what I’ve explained above. When you receive an order, if you have fulfilment location located in one of the countries listed on the table in this page, you’ll be presented with the option to create and purchase a shipping label via Shopify Shipping. If you’re located in a region outside of the ones listed, you won’t be able to purchase a shipping label directly via the Shopify admin, so you’ll need to either purchase a shipping label directly from your local post office or shipping carrier’s website, or use a third-party shipping app to help you print and purchase a shipping label. Once you’ve purchased a shipping label and received a tracking number, you’ll then be able to fulfil your order and there will be a space within the order page for you to input the order’s tracking information, which you can then also send to your customer via the same page.
