I was amazed by the animation at the beginning. It only appears when you land on the landing page. I was wondering what that animation is called? Is it a ‘preloader’?

Yes, it’s called Preloader. If you want to get one on your own store, you can try Preloader App. If you want to you can set it to run only once, and also you can select particular pages. It’s quite customizable,has presets etc, so you can play around with it
