What is the optimal photo ratio for product images on various platforms?

Hi all,

Would love your opinion on this.

What’s the best photo ratio when adding product photo’s to my store?

I started to use images with a 3x4 ratio, which looks great in my opinion. But what ratio is smartest to use so other platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google, Etsy) and adds show images full screen and in the best way possible?

1:1 ratio?

2x3 ratio?

3x4 ratio?

Before I start to edit a whole bunch of product mockups, I’d like to make a decision on this.

The recommended product image ratio fro product image is 1:1 (square image)

Thanks for your quick reply, appreciate it.
So I guess 1:1 ratio is the smartest to go for because Google Shopping also uses this ratio for product images.

Hi there! The best option is 1:1 ratio as its widely accepted and you’ll be able to properly see all aspects of the image

Changed the whole thing to 1:1.
