What is the purpose of the 'CSV All' file in product upload?

Merry Christmas 2020

Supplier provided two separate URL links to download Data Feed for Product Upload:

I am about to upload/refresh the Product data in our store, and will use the file: CSV Shopify.
My concern is the other file called CSV All. This file contains massive amount of data in a lot of column headers.
What is this file for, and will my Product info be incomplete if this file is used to upload?
Please advise, thank you.

Both files are not valid Google Merchant Center Feeds, some attributes are but it does not make any sense.

If you want to know what attributes are accepted: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112?hl=en

Appreciate the response, but there seems to be an issue regarding this, I will try to explain-

The link you provided is the first time I have seen this information. The problem is when referencing //help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/import-export/using-csv, it sends me to this page:

Get a sample CSV file

You can download and view a sample product CSV file to use as a template.

  • The sample file contains an example product and a couple of variants. Your import file likely contains many more products and variants. If you use the sample file to create your own import file, then make sure that you remove all the example products.

  • The sample file includes the Variant Inventory Qty column, which is only used for stores that have a single location. If you use multiple locations and you want to import or export inventory quantities, then use the inventory CSV file.

The online help manual seems to provide only the basics of any topic, but that was the only reference provided. None of the information from the link you provided matches up with this template file, or the Header format descriptions further down the page. So at this point, I am not certain with any confidence I have the proper Product data uploaded, and the software does not allow me to view the base tables.

Also, does the software allow adding custom fields (headers) to the product description? There exists additional, and relevant information for each product in the store.

The shopify manual expert system is not designed for submitting to Google Merchant Center.

You need to use an app or management tool to do this. Your approach will leave your head-scratching for months.

Simply search for Shopify app for Google Shopping, you will find what you need. You can get yourself up and running in less then an hour.

My apologies, I’m not sure where you got Google Merchant Center, as I am not anywhere near ready to deal with that.
Is it something I need to be aware of?

My apologies, I got confused with your question. I assumed you were talking about uploading to Google. Ignore my replies.

No worries, it’s understood.

My issue is I cannot be certain I am uploading the proper HEADER information for our products.
I discovered there are numerous products that are not assigned to a category, or type, or tag, so there is no way I can show them in the store.

Today I exported an ALL PRODUCTS CSV and found over 300 items missing TYPE and TAG data. The imported CSV did not indicate missing data.
How can I resolve this? The golden rule is “Good Stuff In, Good Stuff Out!”
