I am so unhappy I updated my Dawn theme from version 9 to version 10.
If I knew it was going to cause SO many problems, quirks and aberations I would have waited.
So. I am here to warn you. Do NOT update to version 10 until shopify hets the kinks worked out.
I have an unhappy client and spent hours fixing all the problems the update created.
In short, I lost my shirt. I cannot in good conscience charge my client for all the time I have spent troubleshooting the mess from updating to Dawn Version 10.
Ouch - been there! There are many potential reasons unique to your store that could cause faults in a theme upgrade. One option to avoid this in future is to duplicate the existing theme before you overwrite it. Potentially, you could have reverted to it when problems became apparent… however, unrevertable changes could occur. So best practice is to save the latest theme in the theme library, then Preview it on your store to identify anomalies before hitting publish.
