What level of Shopify is needed for comprehensive sales reporting?

Hello -

Can I get assistance with determining what level of Shopify would be needed to capture the following data for reports?

  1. Channel sales – Summarizes the two major selling channels Vena sales are originating from in terms of order value and percent to total broken out by

a. Total Retail sales capturing direct to consumer sales

b. Total Wholesale sales capturing retail and gift shops

c. Can we capture this daily, weekly, monthly, compared to LY, etc… time frame options?

  1. Sales broken out by customer name – Self explanatory

a. Would default to the customer name already in the Shopify system

b. Able to see ranking from largest to smallest customers in terms of dollar volume.

c. Time frame options daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually

  1. Category sales breakdown – sales would be broken down into the following distinct category buckets reported in dollars and even units. Time frame options: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually.

  2. SKU ranking report – Continuous report highlighting volumes by item (units, dollar). Again, across a time frame of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually…

a. Broken down by the above categories in sku’s ranked order highest to lowest

b. Or, alternatively, all individual sku’s ranked in order highest to lowest.

  1. Distinct e-commerce platform coding by customer order – determine volumes of orders by below platforms

a. Shopify

b. Faire

c. Mable

6. Trade spending – A summary report by channel, customer, and product category that reveals where our trade dollars are going

a. Dollar spends

b. % Spend

Thanks!

Hi @FizzyBizz1A ,

Claudia here from Better Reports.

I would recommend our app Better Reports for this.

Regardless of the Shopify plan you are on, we can create these reports for you.

All of our sales reports can be shown for different time frames, we can also create custom sales measures with date parameters to show revenue for different time frames within the same report.

We can filter the reports to show wholesale and retail customers and include customer names and emails. We can also break down reports by product types, SKU, etc. and sort them from highest to lowest. We can also create reports showing total orders by gateways and total transactions.

In addition to this, Better Reports has more than 60 built-in reports available out of the box that cover many common use cases for merchants. You can schedule reports to run at set frequencies to your email or Google Drive or export the reports in CSV, Excel or PDF format.

I encourage you to install Better Reports and start your free 14-day trial and I’ll be happy to set this up for you.
