What model is SK running and what is the environmental cost?

Hi,

I have only briefly dabbled with SK because I am largely anxious about utilising non-local AI due to its worrisome environmental impact. The abstraction of SK makes that even more concerning because there seems to be no available information on what model is being used or what the impact of its use might entail from a computing power point of view.

I am not looking for an ethical argument or anecdotal heresay, but rather explicit details on the actual implementation. It is also unhelpful to be told to just deal with it, accept it, or get left behind. If we are being asked to use SK then we have a right to know what that means broadly.

Can anyone shed any light please?

Thank you, Jason. But as the quote says - this tells us nothing in the context of the environmental impact of AI/SK.

As an aside is it possible to run SK 100% locally?
