What quoting app can convert carts and export as PDF?

Hi everyone,

We’re looking to add an app to our store that makes it easier to handle sending quotes to customers (we are a manufacturing company that needs to do this quite regularly).

We’ve tried out a few apps (namely Quick Quote and Request a Quote & Hide Prices) but neither has quite the functionality we need. We need three main things out of a quoting app:

  1. Convert current cart into request for quote (Quick Quote does this, the other did not).

  2. Ability to export single quote as a PDF or other document (Request a Quote & Hide Prices only allows for quotes to be displayed on the site via a link emailed to the customer).

  3. Ability to convert a quote into a draft order (Quick Quote did not do this, this was the only reason we went to the other quoting app).

If Quick Quote had the ability to convert a quote into a draft order we would have stuck with this app. We do not like that Request a Quote & Hide Prices doesn’t let you add the shopping cart to the quote or that you can’t export a quote. Does anyone have a suggestion for an existing app that may be the best of both?

Hi @alexpinson ,

You can take a look at ConnectPOS, a leading Shopify POS provider! Our POS system can surely meet all of your quoting requirements:

  1. Customers can convert the current cart into a quote by selecting the option to save as a quote.

  2. Save a single quote as a PDF. This can be printed or sent to you via email (if required).

  3. Customers can convert a quote into a draft order to continue proceeding with their purchase. They can also add more products to the cart.

Should you want to know more about the quoting feature of our app, you can contact our support team and receive a 14-day free trial.

Hi @alexpinson

Our app, Cart Whisper, provides the following features for Shopify Merchants:

  1. Live cart insights allow you to see what items customers add or remove from their cart.
  2. Unique cart IDs for every cart lets you easily identify customer carts.
  3. A customizable widget that can be displayed on the cart page. You can even add a form to the widget.
  4. An exit intent popup appears when a customer is about to leave the page, encouraging them to get in touch.
  5. The ability to convert carts to draft orders.
  6. Comprehensive analytics.So,

Now how can you use Cart Whisper to request a quote?

  1. When customers add items to their cart, they will see a widget on the cart page that prompts them to request a quote.
  2. On the widget, you can add a button which, when clicked, creates a popup form where customers can add their details to submit the quote request.
  3. Customers will receive an email confirmation that their quote has been received.( this email can be customized)
  4. As a merchant, you can access the quote request and all the customer details in the app dashboard.
  5. If you require customers to log in, you can see which customers are adding what to their cart even if they do not request a quote.

This can help your team contact them and close the sale.

If you’re interested, I would happily show you a Cart Whisper demo.
