Why not just create one instead of using an app and paying subscription? Inspecting the code, I don’t think they used any app for it, they also just custom coded that on the backend with json.

If you don’t know which app the store is using then just recommend that they add a similar app from the Shopify app store: https://apps.shopify.com/search?q=upsells%20quantity%20break
How do I do that. Wouldn’t I need coding experience?
True in most scenarios. But I thought this is a simple feature where the merchant could use the knowledge of Shopify Expert to avoid the monthly app fees.
