I just sent out my first email campaign using Shopify Email. Previously I’ve used Mailchimp, Klaviyo, and a few others. On other platforms, bounced email addresses are removed from the list automatically.
Not sure what my next steps are with Shopify Email, though. I can’t even see which email addresses bounced so that I can remove them.
Should I just use a more mature email product? (Been looking at GoHighLevel for this as well.)
Shopify Email suppresses addresses from future emails if an email bounces back. Please remember Shopify Email is designed to be an integrated solution for users who want to manage their email campaigns directly within the Shopify ecosystem.
In terms of handling bounced emails, more mature email marketing services typically have automated processes to manage bounce rates and clean up email lists. Shopify Email does not provide visibility or automation for managing bounced emails.
Short update–though it seems that the Shopify Email add-on is in its early phases, there are some hidden functionalities if you use the filters available when viewing customers. For example, I was able to see emails that had bounced or users that had unsubscribed.
