I switched to AccountingSuite last year and love it. You will need the CloudCommerce integration to connect to Shopify (requires ShipStation app for $9/month). We use Gusto for payroll, it also integrates with AccountingSuite.

Our customers range from 100K to 10 Mil. For payroll, they use 3rd party software we integrate with. WagePoint is our preferred payroll provider.
