When there are multiple employees given access to our Shopify account, which two-step authentication method would work best?

And will two-step authentication be a requirement in the future?

Hey, Becky!

Two-step authentication can be set up for all staff accounts. Your employees will each need to set up two-step authentication for their own accounts. All methods are effective, so it’s really a matter of preference. Personally, I use an authenticator app method since I’ve always got my phone nearby.

While recommended for added security, two-step authentication remains optional. I don’t believe there are any plans to make it a requirement in the future.
