We currently use the Ebay integration to sell on our Ebay store by pishing the products from Shopify to Ebay and all the orders from Ebay pull through to our store. It works ok, but its not got much functionality above the basics. We really need a better solution to the standard free app available. We really want to use templates for our listing, the plain text from the listings look awful on Ebay. We also want to set rules up so that we can map to Ebay with for example a +20% price so the item is priced higher on Ebay to account for the Ebay fees etc.
If possible, it would be great to be able to edit the description before sending it to Ebay fast to. We currently use H5 heading to split out descriptions up into tabs on our Shopify store. Some of these are for things like Delivery times, returns terms etc which is all different on Ebay and looks a mess when we send over the listings at present, so would be great to set up rules for it just pull through the description or to miss off parts of the description for example if there is a H5 heading called delivery terms, we would be able to stop the H5 heading and the following text under the heading going to Ebay.
I realise the above may not be achievable, but the product templates and rules are essential to use now we are growing fast and I would like to hear peoples feedback on apps used for Ebay. Failing a good app choice we will invest the time into manually entering our listings and mapping them to products through the free app.
I am also a non-US seller so at that time my top priority when looking for Shopify eBay alternatives was for them to connect with stores outside the US. Luckily, I found the Litcommerce app which has domains outside the US available. I also see the UK domain option in the dropdown list during the setup process so you can choose it to connect with your store.
I’m using their tool to publish and manage listings in bulk on both Shopify, Etsy and eBay, as well as synchronising both products and orders across these three channels. I don’t know whether it’s a coincidence or not, but I also need templates for my listings and some price rules setup which Litcommerce delivers. I am using their price and title templates to save time pushing products from Shopify to eBay; I don’t really remember the other templates available, category or something. You can visit their website and see if they satisfy your needs. I am able to set up prices displayed on eBay higher compared to those on Shopify by a certain amount by using their price rules feature as well. They are using the same price adjustment formula as what you require (price increase by a particular percentage) so I think you can make use of it.
I’m sorry I don’t quite understand the description requirement nor specifying anything particular with it to the Litcommerce team so I can’t offer you any insights into it. But while using their service I notice some customization service in their menu which seems to allow customers to list special requirements outside default services they offer. You can write the description problem down there and wait to see what they will do about it.
I highly suggest having a chat with their customer support team too. They always try to handle as many questions of mine as possible while being very nice and responsive. I think that’s what impresses me most about them.
