We are conducting some analysis on our data coming from the Shopify store. We’ve seen discrepancies between what’s been recorded on Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics and Klaviyo Analytics.
More specifically, it is about the number of Add to Cart and Abandoned Checkout events.
We would like to figure out when these events are triggered and registered.
- Add to Cart event is registered when someone clicks on the “Add to Cart” button? Or when someone reaches the website.com/cart URL? What happens if you enable apps that modify Shopify’s standard cart page?
- Abandoned checkout is registered when someone reaches the /checkout URL? Or when someone fill the information form and clicks “continue to shipping”?
If there any guide regarding this matter?
