When I search my website on google it shows the Header menu under the URL! How do I change that?

Topic summary

Main issue: Google’s search result for the store shows the site’s header menu (and logo) directly under the URL, which looks odd. The merchant wants to change how the result appears.

What’s been checked: The site has a valid meta description tag: . A meta description is the snippet search engines may show under a result; it does not change site layout elements Google might extract.

Actions taken: The merchant submitted the site in Google Search Console (GSC) weeks ago and later requested a re-crawl. The helper noted re-crawls can take up to ~24 hours in many cases.

Guidance given: Use GSC to request re-indexing; if the issue persists, have an SEO expert review the code. A screenshot was requested to better diagnose, and the site URL was shared.

Current status: After resubmission, the same header-style result still appears. No resolution yet; awaiting further technical guidance or code review.

when I search for my website on Google it shows the URL in the search result and then the header menu right under it with the logo on the side. This looks very strange! How can I change that?

Hey @Zev_3

Can you share the screenshot or the website URL?

Thanks,
I can see the but perhaps google not crawl it.

If you haven’t already, submit your website to Google Search Console and request a re-crawl of your website. This will help Google update its cache with your latest meta description.

I have submitted 3 weeks. How can I make it recrawl?

just noticed meta name = description. Does it actually say description and not my website? Thank for the help

This is a correct meta.
If you connected with the google search console, then you can resubmit/ re crawl it. It max take 24 hour in most cases to recrawl.

If this not solved the problem then you may need to check the code with some SEO Expert

I have resubmitted the site for a crawl and it has now been some time. It is still showing the same strange header result in google. What should I do?
