When will Afterpay integration be available on Shopify POS?

Greetings

When is Shopify adding afterpay to Shopify POS?

When we made the decision to switch to Shopify from our previous system for in store payments, Afterpay formed a core part of our decision. I assumed that because Afterpay was listed as being integrated with Shopify that it would work with POS.

That it doesn’t and that community members have been requesting it here since 2019 makes me really question my decision and the countless hours of work that have gone into integrating this new system, especially that Afterpay forms a fair amount of our payments.

Really disappointed, especially given the amount of fees we have to pay compared to ther systems.

Please tell me that this in the pipeline soon as our system just went live and our customers expect to be able to use this as an option for payment.

@Shopify_77 could you please update us on this. We are about to change to square because it’s been 5 years and still nothing. Can you please confirm if we can expect afterpay on Shopify POS within the next month or if we should go to square instead?

We managed a workaround. If you call afterpay, they will link afterpay to the wisepad and it will go through customers EFTPOS or phone.

Each time there is a major update from Shopify you may need to call afterpay to get it re registered.

Painful but it works. Mostly. Kinda feels like Shopify won’t help with it because they might cut a deal with afterpay later on.
