Is there any information on when Shopify Collective will become available in France?
Checked the supported country list just now and France genuinely is not on it, so you are not missing a setting somewhere. The supplier requirements page and the retailer requirements page carry the same list of 38 countries and France is absent from both.
What makes it stand out is how much of the EU is already in. Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden are all supported. France is one of the few obvious gaps left, and EUR is already a supported currency, so this reads like a country eligibility thing rather than anything to do with payments or tax setup.
The last big expansion was 31 July 2025 when 36 countries went in at once, and France was not in that wave either. I could not find any published timeline for the next one.
The country list lives on the requirements page rather than inside the app, so that page updates before the app does. Worth bookmarking instead of waiting for the channel to light up in your admin.
Are you coming at this as a supplier wanting to reach retailers, or as a retailer looking for products? The supplier side has the extra tax requirement for EU based businesses, so the answer to what you can do in the meantime is a bit different depending on which one you are.

As far as I know, there’s no official timeline for Shopify Collective in France yet. hopefully Shopify expend availability soon.

I guess we’ll wait and keep checking back for France. I know it took France a long time to accept TikTok so maybe that’s the case here.

Supplier side then. Two things worth knowing, and two you can have done before it opens.
First a correction to my own post. I said the last expansion was the 36 country wave on 31 July 2025. That was not the whole picture. Australia went in on 10 June 2026 on its own, about eight weeks ago. So countries are being added one at a time now, not only in big batches, which is a better shape for France than waiting on another annual wave.
The Australia announcement is also the clearest statement of how the pairing actually works. Both stores have to be based in the same country, use the same currency, and have Shopify Payments activated. So the day France opens, what unlocks is French retailers, not German or Spanish ones. Worth knowing if the plan was EU wide reach through the channel.
The two things you can get in place now are Shopify Payments and the tax side. For EU based suppliers the requirements page wants you collecting tax from retailers through Shopify Tax, Basic Tax or a third party tax app, and it wants your VAT number and billing address verified. That verification is not instant. Having it sitting done means you are eligible the day the country flips instead of starting a queue then.
Last thing, you do not have to keep checking the page manually. The changelog has an RSS feed at Shopify Changelog RSS and country availability posts land there before the help center list gets updated. That is how the Australia one turned up.
