Hey!! Same issue here!! I don’t know if you’ve already tried this, but it wouldn’t work on my phone to try and check out with Venmo. It simply wouldn’t show as an option. But then when I tried on my laptop it showed as an option! So mobile devices, for us anyway, wouldn’t work. Let me know if that helps anyone!!
I am new to Shopify. On my phone I am able to see the Venmo button (not very easily seen or intuitive), when I use Safari browser, however. Venmo button doesn’t appear on Chrome browse.
When I select Venmo, it takes me to Venmo where I select the information and then it returns me to Shopify. After a few seconds, it comes back with the error message “Processing error, try again later” is there more details on what the error message means so I can fix it? Do I need a Venmo Business account linked with PayPal or can I use my personal Venmo account? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

customers to use Venmo on my shopify site. I took a deep dive into
researching it and found through human tech support at Venmo and Paypal
that nobody knew how to get the Venmo pay option to display on our shopify
sites.
I thought it was pretty telling that the company itself did not know how to
do this. I gave up.
That absolutely stinks that Venmo will not work with Shopify. That is the reason I choose Shopify online store, because a customer can choose to pay by CC or Venmo while the other platforms only accept CC. Does anyone know of another platform that accepts CC and Venmo?
This is a Venmo/PayPal issue. Shopify has made it possible for the app to
exist on its (Shopify) platform. But there is some glitch that I was not
willing to go any further to find out about. If you want to try - talk with
PayPal because PP owns Venmo.
I’ve been working with Shopify for almost nine years and the platform
offers such ease for e-merchants in so many ways. They offer tech support
although it is harder now to get to a phone #. But I was able to do it the
last time I needed help which was in 2021.
One thing to know is that if you customize your site with apps, widgets or
code your site will NOT receive Shopify updates - which are pretty
essential.

No. I gave up after several days and hours of research and talking with
tech at shopify, venmo and PayPal. No one could answer the question. But
that was two years ago. Maybe things have changed. PayPal owns Venmo so I
suggest you talk with PayPal tech.

I’m terrible about getting on here and checking my threads. I asked my friend just now. Her site is https://shophighway3.com/ and it’s clearly at the bottom of her page as a form of acceptance so you CAN do Venmo.
I had a call with PayPal. Venmo is PayPal. It’s the social media side of PayPal that allows people to ad emojis etc when paying. They told me on Shopify that if I have PayPal as an option when people go to check out they can then select PayPal or Venmo. That’s all I know and I’ve still not got anywhere like no physical button. Customers will never understand all of that they wanna see the Venmo button. Wish Shopify would get it together!

checkout. I spoke to reps at Venmo and then at PayPal - the corp that owns
Venmo and they sincerely tried to help, but could do nothing.
Unfortunately Venmo doesnt work on your site. I just tried and like my site, same error message. Very frustrating that Venmo / Paypal cant run their business!
