So I joined Shopify as I’m a cosplayer/story creator on TikTok with a little over 82,000 followers. (I know, NOT influencer level as to be an influencer you need either thousands of video views a day or a minimum of 100,000 followers but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try.) So allow me to over explain the reasoning behind the suggestion I will eventually make.
The thing is, with the exception of one makeup company I’d love to collab with who’s site I joined Shopify from, I don’t see anything on the Discover tab that fits my content at all. My story creation is part of the Fang Fam under The Vampire Jack Townson, so it’s supernatural/horror content. I currently have two vampire characters and one monster character known as a Darkling. (A supernatural species created by Jack for his storylines.) My cosplays include Adephagia: The Greek Goddess Of Gluttony, Pamela Voorhees, Red Death (from the Edgar Allan Poe story), a genderbent Eli LaBouff (Princess & The Frog), Aziraphale, Elle Woods but as a hunter from Supernatural (so a Legally Blonde/Supernatural mashup), Talky Tina (Twilight Zone), and a few others. So obviously the companies should be horror/goth/cosplay/comic books related.
Well, the suggestion is this - Can we PLEASE have a SEARCH feature on the “discover” page for collabs so we can type in keywords for shops rather than just flipping through the pages hoping to find some shop that would fit our content? I’d love to be able to type in things like cosplay, goth, vampires, horror, graphic novels, etc to narrow down the results.
And while I’m on the subject, when setting up our collab profiles, the words cosplay, goth, horror, etc should be listed under interests. Not just beauty, gardening, etc.
